A lack of clean water is one of the world's largest and longest-lasting disasters. CBF of Missouri is addressing this issue through the Big Muddy/Clean Water campaign. BM/CW is a fundraising effort held in conjunction with the Missouri River 340. The MR340 pits teams of canoe and kayak paddlers against one another in a race across the state of Missouri, starting in Kansas City and finishing – 340 miles later – in St. Charles. Funds raised will provide clean water wells in a needy part of the world.
CBF of Missouri partners with Water is Life International. Founded by CBF field personnel David and Merrie Harding, Water is Life International (WiLi) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide access to safe water to impoverished communities. WiLi has a holistic approach, not only drilling wells but also providing maintenance training and hygiene education.
