CBF of Missouri welcomes Terrell Carter to help enlarge the ministry and resource network of the Fellowship in Missouri. Specifically, Terrell Carter will focus on pastors and churches in the urban core of St. Louis.
Third Baptist Church is also partnering in this strategic network initiative by providing office and meeting space for Terrell's ministry.
Terrell Carter was raised in a Christian household in the City of St. Louis, and is a fourth generation minister/pastor. He answered his call to ministry at the age of 16 and delivered his first sermon at the age of 17. He has served in the local church in various capacities, including Senior Pastor.
Terrell believes in mentoring church planters, pastors and ministers. He has served as a church planting mentor and Advisory Board Member for World Impact, an international church planting organization, as well as other local Baptist entities.
In addition to pastoral ministry, Terrell has taught at several colleges in St. Louis, including Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis Community College at Forest Park and Wildwood, and Brookes Bible Institute. During his teaching tenure, he has developed several new courses that deal with religion and its place in society and daily life.
He has earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biblical Studies and Organizational Leadership, a Master of Fine Art in Arts Management and Leadership, and a Doctor of Theology.
He has participated in lectures and presentations throughout colleges and universities in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, and St Petersburg, Russia. He is the author of Machiavellian Arts Management (2006), and the forthcoming volumes Does My Pastor Know That? A Practical Introduction to the New Testament for Urban Pastors (2010), and Machiavellian Ministry (2010).
He is married to Melinda, and is the father of Malik and Victoria. In his spare time, he enjoys making artwork, which has been exhibited in the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and South Africa.
